Katie Courtney

As a mom, teacher, coach, and proud member of the Downers Grove community for 17 years, I am committed to supporting our students, teachers, and families. Having been a teacher for over 20 years I believe in the power of public education and the importance of creating an equitable environment where every student can succeed. I want to continue this passion for public education on the District 99 Board of Education.

 

I’ve seen both the successes and the challenges that our schools face every day. I’ve also seen the incredible potential within every student, no matter their background or socioeconomic condition, and the profound difference that an equitable, supportive educational system can make. I will work tirelessly to ensure that our schools are inclusive, resourceful, and focused on all students' needs, helping them academically and personally thrive.
